The national cotton production and consumption trends analysis of the world's major countries in 2017/18

In terms of consumption, Vietnam's cotton consumption will grow strongly in 2017/18. Bangladesh and China have seen modest increases in consumption; Countries in Turkey, Indonesia and the western hemisphere, such as Brazil, Mexico and the United States, are expected to decline. Consumption in South Korea, Taiwan and Europe fell slightly (see chart).
